My cute, cute little nephew went into open heart surgery at Primary Children's hospital today. He was born with a hole in his heart, but they wanted to wait until he was older to see if it would need surgery to close it up. They were hoping that it would close on it's own, but unfortunately it didn't. They surgery went really well though, and they think he'll only need that one. When they opened him up, they found that his hole was actually bigger than they thought, and that his blood flow was going backwards. His heart was also enlarged a little because of all the work it was doing. So it was a really good thing that it was done. We are SO happy that things look great for him, and he's definately been in our (including Dallin's) prayers! We love you baby James! Get better quick! And we love you too Judy and Jared.

How scary! I am glad he is doing good. Poor Judy and Jared for having to deal with this, and of course the rest of the family as well, that must be really hard. Good to hear all is well so far.
I am so glad that everything came out okay!! Open heart surgery is always such a scary thing. we did get to bring the matt and jewlery home because they were not so big!! But yes finals are almost over and I am so ready for a break for a few days before spring semester :( No fun!! I am glad to hear you guys are doing great!!
Yay for the little James man!! I'm glad he's my nephew too...because he and Dallin are so darn cute!! Steve and I will have serious competition when we have kids... :) And yes, we need to see you guys! I'm seriously missing you guys- i haven't seen you since we've been family, except for about a minute...that sentence didn't make sense. Anyway, we need to play! When are you guys next planning on coming to cedar? We'll have to definitely be there that day, and maybe sometime soon we'll actually come up to orderville and visit you guys!!
I just used "you guys" 4 times in that little paragraph... that's sad...
o how scary- anything with the words little baby/kid and surgery dont mix very well in my heart it just is so scary and sad-I am glad everything went well. You little guy is getting so big.
Hi :)
I got to you from the Blogger Buffet site...I hope you don't mind that I checked out your blog.
That sounds so scary about the heart surgery....
I hope the best for the Little Guy.
We just saw James tonight, and we were amazed at how healthy he looked! All I kept thinking was "what a miracle!" I'm sure there were lots of prayers on his behalf, and we are so glad that he is okay! What a little sweetie.
By the way Jenna--I hope you enjoyed your Gilmore Girls marathon this weekend...I'm so jealous! I just discovered the show a few months ago and I love it!
Hey Jenna! Yeah we just started into the blogging world. It's really addicting! I'm still trying to figure out how to make it cute! ...might need some pointers :) I was working the day your nephew had surgery. Unfortunately I wasn't working in the recovery room that day. I actually work in a different area of the OR now, in the dental room. We put kids under anesthesia for dental work. So anyway, glad you guys have a blog and yes we'll have to plan a trip to Southern Utah this summer sometime!
well I'm glad that is all over with. James is doing great now. He feels a lot better and is happier than he's ever been. :) Oh, and in case you didn't notice, I have a blog now. :)
