Growing up...

My little guy is growing up...
*Sniff*...
I remember when he was just this little:

And how he's a big preschooler!

Dallin had his first day of preschool this month. I didn't think I would have a hard time, but I must admit, I could feel a little ball in my throat as I left him that first day.
His great teacher, Miss Suzie:

Sitting at his chair. The little girl in the background is his favorite. Her name is Kaitlyn and he calls her the pretty girl with the pink shirt and pink shoes. They play really cute together:

His "Locker":

We're having a hard time waking up to go, :) but once he's there he has a ball! He goes two days a week- just inthe mornings. He's learning a lot and having a fun time. He's always so anxious to tell me about EVERYTHING that happened on the way home. The other day, Dallin and I were eating dinner together and there was a lull in the conversation. All of a sudden he said, "Mom? Did you know Hippopotamuses can breathe and talk under water? I learned that at school". :) It so fun to see them grow and develop.
We had to make a poster together for their "getting to know you" week and Dallin was pretty proud of it. We went through magazines and picked out pictures of things that are his favorite, and then he picked out pictures on the computer that he wanted to use for the other squares:

New Ride...

My kiddos have a new ride!

Compliments of
FreeCycle! :)

I've told quite a few people about FreeCycle before, and I just wanted to point out, AGAIN, how awesome it is. It's a wonderful site that has a goal to keep things out of landfills. Instead of just throwing it away, why not recycle it to people who could use it!? You join your local group, and receive emails of "Offers" and "Wants" for all sorts of things. If you are the first one to respond to the email, then you arrange a pick up place or drop off place... and that's it. You also try to reciprocate the goodness by offering things you have and don't need as well. Everything is FREE. :) Jeff and I have been fortunate enough to receive MANY different things: Big Freezer, 2 toddler beds (one for us and one for my mom), almost all of Allison's clothes, Lots of Dallin's size 2-3-4 clothes, double stroller, bread machine, decorative things for our home, fabric for my brother's Eagle Scout, a solid oak table (holds 10 and awesome condition!) for the Blodgetts, and more- for us and others! And now to add to the list, this awesome bike trailer! :) It's such a great site that I think reteaches the gift of charity. :) A lot of these things could be sold I'm sure... but they would rather give it to somebody who doesn't have the money for it, or trade for something else. Anyway- Check it out! It's an wonderful organization! :)

Labor Day Equals Play Day....

Does anyone know why we have Labor day??

I'll have to Wiki that later...

Anyway... We had a great Labor Day weekend at the beginning of this month! It of course started out with Morgan's wedding (post below), and we made our way back down the state. :) Originally, when we planned to go up north, we really wanted to take the kids to the Zoo... But when we figured out that that wasn't going to work... what's the next best thing?
Cabelas! :)
Ok... So the animals are all dead... But Dallin didn't care. :)
He loved the huge walk through fish tank inside! He couldn't get enough!

Allison liked it too... Although this picture would suggest otherwise... haha. I love the
"Another picture Mom? Really?" look I'm getting. :)

Dallin really wanted to feed the fish, but we didn't have any change on us... So we went on a search for food that other's had dropped, and Dallin was perfectly happy to through in about 8 or 9 little pellets... I love three year olds.

If you haven't been to Cabelas before, there's a really good restaurant upstairs. It has some more crazy entree's (like elk, bison, buffalo, etc), but Jeff and I both went for the Sandwiches. The bread was SOOO yummy! :) We asked if they had it for sale, and this awesome kid, Clint, went and got a HUGE loaf all packaged up for us and talked the manager into a really low price (They usually don't sell it). He was so great!

It made YUMMY sandwiches all week:

We then worked our way down the I15 down to Cedar City. The Blodgetts had had their baby #5, (first boy!) the day before and we wanted to take a peek. The Blodgetts are like our family over the mountain, so we felt like we were getting a new nephew! :) He was 8lbs, 2 oz (second smallest for them!) and so adorable! :) My friend Ann, took some pictures of him yesterday and they turned out really cute!

On that Saturday, we took a fishing trip with Jeff's family (Jeff finally got to use the fishing license I got him for Christmas all day). :) We all had a really fun time! Didn't have much luck catching many fish... but we all had a great day!
We thought we were all smart carrying all of our stuff in the stroller on the way in... but it proved to be not very fun as we went over every root, bump and mud puddle left in the path from the rain storm the day before. Oh well... Jeff made use of those hott guns. :)

Here's just a few snapshots of the day:

Monday we went over to the Iron County Fair. I love looking at the exhibits! Check out this art...
From far away:

And close up:

Is that so cool!? The entire picture was made of little symbols! Amazing!!

I also liked this quilt a lot. I love looking at the quilts. My Grandma Gumball got me hooked. :)
It would be fun to do this with colors that matched my room.

And the "Freakiest Exhibit Award" goes to....

Hmmmmm....

After the fair, the Corry Fam all met up at "CorryLand", (Their property up on Cedar Mountain) and at a great dutch oven dinner!
Hanging out in the great outdoors:

The Cook:

And...
One of the cutest pictures ever... :)

Again... I have no idea why we have labor day, but I'm so glad we do...
So I can have time to make memories like these. :)

Morgan BANGERTER...

My wonderful friend Morgan got married at the beginning of this month. Morgan and I have had quite a friendship between us since 8th grade or so. She moved into our ward in 6th, and we hung out a little because of Young Womens, but starting really in 9th grade we got to be REALLY good friends.

We spent MANY a nights staying up until 5 or 6 in the morning on MSN, gushing about our crushes and eating random snacks all night (Remember that one night we decided to make like 50 chicken nuggets at 4 in the morning or something??) We went to EFY together and finally conviced Burke and Jake that Pads were NOT made out of the same stuff as diapers by cutting one open. We also made t-shirts together that had special "code names" for our crushes on them (Root Beer and Jelly Beans- hahaha...) and wore them to a party. Morgan helped me get my head on straight when I was trying to decide what kind of person I wanted to be as a sophomore (Thanks again for that email Morgan... I still have it. :) There were countless times of nights out on the tramp, eating bologna sandwiches and chocolate milk, going to dances, talking all night, driving around in her sweet van (one time we thought we'd see how far we could go around Santa Clara without pushing the gas... we didn't know that a car can go forever on idle...haha). We also roomed together in College (I wouldn't have survived without you Morg!!), went on a spur of the moment trip up north after winning Hot Country Night tickets (we had no where to stay... we went on faith :), and she was my right hand man when I started dating Jeff too... (Thanks for all the support!) :) We've had many many other adventures in our day. :) Our friendship was also a little rocky a few times in between all the fun for a little while... thanks to retarted female hormones. But I'm so glad we finally got them under control, and conquered! :) You're a great friend Morgan and I'm so happy for you!

The Beautiful Couple! They were both just beaming!:

Waiting oustide the Temple for them to come out:

Aww... Friendies...

The best family shot we got :)

And the amazing photographers! To see their site, click here!

Her open house in St. George was at the Electric Theater!
It totally rocked with a movie theme!

Me and my handsome hubby,
And part of the highschool crew
(Everyone at this table went to SCHS! Woot!):
Her Cake (Yes! Her cake!) and some of the tables.
They were all themed around a movie and had Morgan and Bryce acting out a scene from that movie.

To quote another guest, "No mints and nutcups at this wedding!"
We had pizza, popcorn, fountain drinks, and movie theater Candy!

It definitely was an awesome party! :)

Morgan- everything was wonderful both weekends, and you looked absolutely gorgeous! Congrats to you and Bryce!! :)

Oh... And a P.S. We also had Morgan's Bridal shower in August. I didn't take that many pictures, but she was so blessed to get a lot of nice stuff! Here's a bunch of the girls:

And, This is another best friend from childhood (for the last 16 years!), Mallory, (with her cute bunnette in the oven). We did the food for the shower (Whew!). :) I wouldn't be who I am without her and her family! Love ya Mal! :) I'm so jealous you look this cute preggo! :) I'm so grateful for such awesome friends (and now their husbands!!) :)
