I totally know you!

So... Last weekend, when Jeff and I were on our date in St. George, we went and got some shakes at Charlies... like I mentioned. A few minutes before we left, in walks a brunette girl, a little taller than myself. It seems like I recognize her, but can't quite put my finger on it... Then all of a sudden- I get the thought "I totally know her!". I realized that every so often, I have fallen upon this random girl's blog page... and read her entire life story (or what she has blogged)! This random brunette girl has no idea that her blog stalker is sitting in the booth right next to her! I thought it was so cool and I told Jeff right away, although- I think he was enjoying the last of his shake too much to really realize how crazy this moment was.
So- Tonight, I'm sitting here- late at night... doing my usual blog stalking and am thinking how this moment probably wasn't that cool at all. In all reality- it's actually kind of creepy. Who stalks me? Who knows all about my recent moments with my son, that it was my husband's birthday, and that Lightning McQueen is an everyday word at our home? There are so many people I'm sure who read my blog and don't leave a comment (Morgan...) so I have no idea they were even here! A girl in church today came up to me and told me that they read my blog and was sorry about Dallin... (Hi Hoyts!) How Merna found my blog- I have no idea- but she did! And I'm sure many others have...
Ok... Well- I still do think that the moment at Charlies was cool. I could have freaked her out pretty bad- haha... I guess I better start leaving more comments to let people know that I know about their lives... and to those of you who venture here... Please say hello! Give me a shout out like JoJo in Whoville... "We are here! We are here!"
Anywho- back to Stalking...

Scariest Moment...

So I think I had the scariest moment of my entire life tonight. Honestly. I was trying to think of a moment that was worse and I could not think of one. I'm kind of getting shaky just thinking about it again...
Tonight, we went over to our friends house, the Blodgett's, to eat dinner and look at their new baby goats (Woody and Jessie) that were born last night. We were going to eat dinner and show Dallin the babies. Jeff had to leave for a little bit for a missionary meeting. While he was gone, the kids decided they wanted to go jump on the tramp for a minute. They had done this before and are always really careful, so I let Dallin go out too. They also have one of those net things that go around the tramp so they can't fall off. So I put Dallin on the tramp, and decide I better go get my shoes. I go inside the house, and as I look out the window, and see Dallin go down in sort of a belly flop and whip back his neck and hit his chin. I run outside and hear Dallin crying- not his normal cry, but the one that says "I'm hurt bad". Like I said, they have a net around, so Dallin starts walking towards the opening in the net to get to me. As I'm trying to get him out, all of a sudden his whole body goes limp and his eyes rolled back in his head. I think that was the most panicked I have ever been in my life. I couldn't get him out because he was stuck in the stupid net and I thought my baby was dead. I started screaming for help and Brent and Chantelle started running out. After a few seconds, I finally get him free and he comes too again. I was shaking and bawling and had no clue what to do. We took him inside and got him calmed down and ended up taking him down to Kanab to the emergency room. Luckily, things seem to be ok. The doctor thinks that he passed out because of shock. Tonight, we're supposed to wake him up every two hours (which is why I'm up right now) and check to see if he's responsive.
I don't think anybody has a clue how scary this kind of thing is until it actually happens to you. I didn't. My heart sincerely goes out to every mother who has lost a child, or has had an accident that's a scary one. I don't know how you do it. I'm so grateful for my son. I love him so much. I'm so glad that things look like they are ok...

Question...

So how do I make like a little collage of pictures. I always feel like I post so many pictures in one post, so it would be cool to know how to do that... Anybody??

One year older...

Jeff turned 29 years old on Tuesday! One more year to go until he's the big 3-0! Crazy. Unfortunately, I had Drama Competition all day on his birthday, so I was gone to Piute. It was a bummer, since I usually go down to his classroom... But I think everything turned out to be fun anyway. Before we left to St. George, I secretly decorated his classroom all up so he had that when he got to school on Tuesday. On his Birthday morning, I also made him a little special breakfast before I left. I talked to his aide, and his class had a little surprise party all set with a birthday cake and balloons for him too. His Aide, Mrs. Hafen, is awesome! Dallin was sick, so that wasn't very fun... But Hopefully he had a great day anyway.

While we were in St. George a few days before, my mom watched Dallin, and Jeff and I went out on a date... A REAL, LIVE, DATE! It was wonderful! (It had been a while... :) We had such a great time. Jeff picked Panda Express to have for his dinner. So we got it to-go, and took it up on the Red Dixie Hill at the Pioneer Park. We sat down just in time to eat at sunset and to look at the view. It was so beautiful and romantic... :) We had a fun time hiking around for a while. We also went to Fiesta Fun and walked around for a little bit. Jeff had never been! Crazy for me, since that's like one of the original date places in St. George. Then we went and got shakes at Charlies. It was so much fun to feel like we were back into the life of dating again... haha. We love our little man for sure, but I must admit that it's fun to get away sometimes.

Also- I must include this for Jeff... For his birthday (Lucky for him it was tax return time)... He got a new T.V. He has wanted one for quite a while, and I finally gave in. And Honey- I do admit- I like it a lot... :) Happy Birthday Hon! I love you.

Easter Time!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We were down in St. George at my mom's house and went to my great-grandma's for Lunch/Dinner. It was beautiful weather outside! I loved that I was able to walk around all afternoon in a short sleeve shirt, and drive with the windows down without getting chilly! I'm definately reminded this time of year why I love St. George so much! It made me so happy to be there this weekend. These are a few pictures from Easter morning after church at my mom's house, and at my grandma's.

Dallin's Easter Basket and little Easter outfit

My mom watched Dallin the night before, and they set the table for Easter breakfast together. When Jeff and I got home, Dallin was so excited to show us where all of our spots were.

My mom got him this shirt for his birthday. He was SOO excited!

Jeff also had a big Easter Candy Hunt with the third grade a few days before we got out for break. I thought I'd put a few of these pictures up too. His class is so funny. It seems like all the girls are in love with Jeff- haha. And all the boys think he's the coolest. All of the kids are Dallin's best friends. They all kind of compete for his approval. It's really cute. A cutie named Lacey took Dallin around with her to try to find her candy bag. It was really cold this day, but it was a lot of fun anyway.

Fingers Crossed...

So the last couple days, Dallin has found a new habit. Whenever he's walking around, watching a show, or just hanging out... basically anything he does that doesn't really involve his hands... He has started to cross his fingers. It's so funny! I have no idea where he got it from, or why it even started. I just looked down at his hands the other day, and he was crossing them. When we try to show him what he's doing, and have him copy us, he can't do it. So it's basically just an unconscious thing. He does it pretty much all day long. I guess he's just making sure he has good luck.

(don't mind his little chicken legs... :)

Three years ago!

Well everyone... Three years ago today, my wonderful husband proposed to me! I can't believe it's already been three years.
Jeff had totally picked out the ring on his own, and I really didn't know when he was going to pop the question... but I did know that it was being sized down to my chicken bone size three... Earlier that day, he told me he had to go to the dentist, but went and picked up my ring. We had planned to drive up to our friend's - Sam and Jami- cabin that night to hang out with them, so we started up the mountain. We were having a wonderful conversation, and the sunset was absolutely perfect! Now... Jeff and I had to set a few rules for ourselves throughout our course of dating... *No kissing on the couch*, *Tried to be in by a certain time*, *No kissing in the car*... Well, as we rounded this corner on the mountain, and saw this beautiful sunset, he suddenly slowed down the car and said "I can't take it anymore!". He parked the car and got out and came around to my door. You see... I just thought that he wanted to kiss me (ok- make out or something) and he couldn't handle it anymore and had to stop the car since we couldn't IN the car... Well- little did I know that he had the ring in his pocket. As I went to reach around his neck, he suddenly got down on one knee and asked "Jenna, will you marry me?" I was completely shocked! All I kept saying was "yes, Yes, YES!!!" (I sort of freaked him out with my enthusiasm... haha) It was a wonderful moment that had no need for planning! We were married three months later.
I love this man with all my heart... I'm so glad that I ended up going to SUU, randomly decided to join HOPE choir- after being persuaded by Brother Mac, and got put with him to do Choreography... It seems like so many people had a hand in putting us together... especially the Lord. I'm so greatful for him!! I love you my honey.

Greeness and Lovers

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! I wasn't going to post until tonight because I made a big St. Patrick's Day dinner and was going to post pictures... but then I sat down to post and realized I didn't take any pictures! What a bummer... Oh well. For dinner I made Green Jello (How could you not, seeing as we're in Utah), a green salad, bread sticks with green parley and basil on the top, and pasta with green Alfredo sauce or pesto sauce (you could choose). We also had sprite or green milk to drink, and green mint chocolate chip ice-cream. Mmmmm...
For family night, we also talked about how we can "Go Green and save Green"... Meaning ways we can help the environment, and also save money, electricity, etc. I'm not a "tree-hugger" by any means, but I do think there are a lot of simple ways that you can help out. For example:
*Riding your bike somewhere close instead of driving- saves gas,
and gets you some exercise.
*Buy used- We talked about how how many things get
thrown away when they are still good.
*Buy local- reduces traveling by trucks, and
helps the community.
*Change the Thermostat- just by putting it down a few degrees in the winter and up a few in the summer saves you energy and money.
*Unplug the things you aren't using- it's surprising how much energy goes into the toaster when it's plugged in, even if it's not on!
*Laundry- Wash in cold water
*Lighting- Change your normal lightbulbs to low-energy
compact fluorescent bulbs.
*Use a filter instead of bottled water- Did you know that it takes
3 liters of water to make 1 liter of bottled water?
I learned that from Parenting Magazine.
Anyway- There are a lot more ways to help out of course- but these are just a few. It was a fun family night with the Blodgetts.

Also- This weekend was an exciting weekend! Jeff's brother Steve got married to Lindsey Johnson. They have been dating for a year and a half... and the whole family was so excited to finally have her in the family. They fit really well together and look great together too! It was a busy weekend, but worth it... besides for the fact that Dallin was sick. We drove to Cedar on Friday and they had their open-house that evening. After it was over, we drove to St. George and stayed at my sister's house. In the morning, she watched Dallin while we went to the sealing, and then we all went to the luncheon in Washington. Then we all drove back to Cedar and took a half hour break getting things together. Then up to Salt Lake for the reception at the Lion House. CRAZY driving schedule, but it was a lot of fun. I'm glad we were able to go. The open house and the Lion House were both beautiful. There was a little bit of nervousness on their end, but everything turned out great. Here's a few pictures of the wedding.
Congrats Steve and Lindsey!!
