Scarecrow Party...

I have to start off by saying that we have some pretty cool neighbors! :) I love the things that we're able to do with them. On Friday, our friends that moved in a little less than a year ago (the new music teacher Robert, his wife Emily, their two year old Peter, and a new baby "Hammy" (Ammon)), put on an awesome party in their backyard- A Scarecrow Party!
Everyone had to dress up like "Scarecrow-ish", and we sat around a fire, sang some "Pumpkin Carols", decorated cookies in the "Haunted" house, and danced on the patio with our hubbies. It was a LOT of fun! It was really fun to get together with the other couples and eat yummy food. Thanks Robert and Emily for such a fun night! You guys really outdid yourselves! :)

So... This isn't a very good picture of me... and for some reason I look Huge! But it was cute of Dallin... :)

Baby update!... And Dallin too... :)

HALFWAY THERE!!! :) I'm 20 weeks! (almost 21)

I'm sure everyone is probably getting sick of my belly shots... But I only have like 5 pictures of me with being pregnant with Dallin... So I'm making up for it with this baby! :) Here's my belly this last week. I feel like all of a sudden I'm totally popping out. My skin feels too small to fit everything! Which means I'm probably getting MORE stretch marks... :) What a mother does for her children... haha.
Here's a few pictures from our ultrasound. Some people get so confused when they look at these things, so I'll explain them for any of you who are confused too :)

Here's her cute little face. The cord kept getting in front of her face... So looking at this picture you can see her left eye socket, her little nose (with nose holes :), her little smiling mouth, cheeks and her chin- which I think is mine :)... That long tube looking thing in front of her right eye is part of the cord and something else- haha- I didn't quite understand what the tech was saying... She's such a little wiggle worm - so this is the best we could get. :)

This is her left hand. The arm comes down out of the right corner and you can see her little finger bones and her thumb in the distance... Get this one?

And of course- here's her foot. :)

Anyway- Just some cute little pics... We got more, but these were the ones I could explain the easiest. :)

Also- I thought I'd include a few random things from Dallin. :) I think he has a little bit of a perfectionist in him... He was playing with his cars and I looked over and this is what I found...

Haha... Perfectly lined up by color and everything. He does this quite a bit and just makes me laugh.
Here's a little movie too. Jeff and I were on our way home from our long weekend, and Dallin kept singing "Kwinkle, Kwinkle Little Star" over and over again for about ten minutes. I tried to get some of it on Video without him noticing... Jeff and I just love his high little voice- haha.

Wild Week...

This last weekend, Jeff had a little bit of a Vacation (Monday and Tuesday off)... But we were busy the entire weekend!
We spent the first half in Vegas for my dad's wedding.
It started Friday with Jeff getting a Sub., and driving to St. George. We picked up my sister Kellie and her husband Garrett, and my brother Scott, and then continued on to drive down to Vegas. The Traffic was unbelievable!! I've never minded driving in normal traffic, but I HATE road-construction traffic... it took us over an hour to get somewhere that usually takes us 10 minutes! Annoying... :) Anyway.
My dad and his now wife- Dana, decided to have their rehearsal dinner at their house. They just built it less than a year ago, and it's such a pretty home. They had their friend cater and it was mostly sushi... Jeff and I have never had sushi before. I opted out, since they recommend not eating sushi when you're pregnant. But Jeff tried a few and said it wasn't bad! Do any of you like sushi? It just looks so weird to me! :)
The night was fun. Mostly Dana's family friends who traveled out for the wedding. It was kind of a different experience since Dallin was the only one under 17 there (and at the wedding and reception). He definitely was the life of the party! One lady was asking Kellie, Garret and I where we were from and we said Utah. She told us that she had only been to Utah a few times and the last time was for her friend's daughter's wedding. She said "She was one of those Mormons- but her wedding was just absolutely beautiful!". I kind of just smiled and then told her that we were all Mormons too. She kind of looked surprised and then said, "Well that explains why you guys are all so nice!!". Haha... I thought it was cute. Towards the end of the night, I was putting Dallin to bed, and told him to go say goodnight to Grandpa... He ended up going around the entire room giving everyone a hug and telling them goodnight. It was really cute.
Me and my Dad at his house:

The next morning, Dana left to get her hair and make-up done, so we took advantage of this last morning with just my dad and went out to breakfast. It was fun just to talk to my Dad, and go shopping for a little while. We went to this outside little shopping mall that had the COOLEST playground for little kids. I didn't bring my camera with me though. I was really bummed. It was a lot of fun and had a mini shrub maze... is that what you call it? And there were tons of miniature buildings for them to play in. It was really neat. If I ever have a big backyard, I want to do something like that.
Dallin got this little "computer" to play and color on at breakfast, and he just went to town typing. haha... Maybe he sees mom too much...:

We got to the little "Chapel of Love" place, and watched the short and simple wedding ceremony. It was fun to actually go to a wedding in little place like that. The Ceremony was actually really nice. Both of their rings were gorgeous!
Here's a few pictures before the Ceremony, and of my dad and Dana right after:

Again- we hit traffic, and Kellie and I almost got hit by a bus! For real- it was maybe an inch away from us! We met Jeff and Garrett at the Venetian (where the reception was) and tried to find our way around! My feet were killing me after being in heels all day!! The reception was beautiful! It was held out on a little garden area outside of the Bouchon Restaurant. It was so elegant (and expensive- haha). I was SOO nervous about having Dallin there, since he's two... but it turned out just fine and he mostly just wanted to dance the whole time.
Part of the reception:

My dad had a DJ there, and also a bongo player playing to the music. It was so different than what I'm used to but it was really neat! Dallin loved the drums... I guess I didn't catch him at a good moment in this picture but he was having a great time when the guy let him do it:

They had an open bar (lucky for us they had other things too... :) But when Garrett asked for a "virgin" drink... the guy just kind of laughed at him. It was sad- haha. The guy at the Open Bar really took a liking to Dallin though and gave him OJ the whole night. It was really cute. He was really nice:

I had to add this picture too- the center peices on the tall tables were so neat. She had these pink jelly ball things, and inside was a light. The picture doesn't do it justice. They looked so neat when it got dark:

The wedding was really nice... It's just kind of weird to have my dad married. Not to mention that she's younger than Jeff (She graduated class of '98- Jeff was '97)... But oh well. I wish them all the happiness! We were glad to be a part of the wedding, and had a really great time down there.
.................................
The second part of the weekend was much more relaxing. We drove back to St. George and stayed at Kellie and Garretts, and went to church with them in the morning. They have such a nice ward! Then we all went over to my grandma's for dinner. I love eating there! :) Yummy!
The next day we went to Iceburg with Kell and did a little shopping- came home and hung out for a while. That night we had family night with everybody (including my cousins Brooke and Justin), and roasted marshmallows and played a game called "Imagine If". It was a great evening! We always have such a nice time at my Parents house.

Anyway- That was a pretty long- for the posterity- kind of a post. But just wanted to let you all what we were up to last weekend. And for those in my dad's family that wanted to see some pictures.

Family Night...

For Family Night tonight, I stole and modified an idea from another website :) It was fun! We took jars and "Mod-Podged" pieces of white tissue paper and orange crepe paper to them, and made them into pumpkins, a mummy and a ghost. After they dry, I'll put them in my window with little tea lights inside to light them up. I'm excited how they turned out! Jeff made his a mummy, Dallin made a ghost, and I made mine a pumpkin. I even made one for the baby. :)

The Results are in...

We were able to have our ultrasound today... and the results are in! You have to have a full bladder for the ultrasound.... And I guess I drank too much water. I felt like I was seriously going to explode before the ultrasound... sheesh.
Anyway- too much information... I know you just want to know what it is... :)
My mom brought some little "It's a BOY" and "It's a GIRL" things to stick in the cake my grandma made. We slowly took them out one by one and the left one standing was what was inside!! :) Here is a re-enactment of how we told my family at my great-grandma's house tonight:

IT'S A GIRL!!!
I'm so excited! I now need some headbands, bows, and dresses!!
Yay! :)

Great Weekend...

So General Conference this weekend was great! We drove into Cedar and stayed the whole weekend with most of Jeff's family. There were quite a few things I needed to hear, especially the comment from our Prophet, President Monson, that said we need to live in today on not be focused on tomorrow, or we'll "end up with a lot of empty yesterdays"... I also loved Elder Wirthlin's talk about laughter. He made me smile from ear to ear. :) I'm so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to have a Prophet on the earth today. We are so blessed.
And, I have to make mention that I have one of the best hubby's in the world. Not only did we have a great time listening... But he also gave me a back massage, played with and brushed my hair, and rubbed my feet with lotion... all without asking for it! I definitely got the "Queen Treatment". (Dallin also wanted to do what we were doing so he gave his daddy "crazy hair" (he called it) as he scratched his head.) Thank you honey! Love you! :)
After the second Sunday session, we drove home over Cedar Mountain. That was the first thing I remember just loving about living in Cedar when I first came to SUU... I hadn't ever had seen leaves that beautiful before! We hit the leaves perfect timing! Any longer and they would have been all dead.
Jeff and I stopped by Duck Creek and took a few pictures while we still had a little bit of light left. I'm so glad we caught it when we did! It was a wonderful uplifting weekend...

Belly Update...

I'm 17 weeks today. This pregnancy is seriously flying by compared to Dallin! I love it! :) Here's what I'm looking like!
Also- We go in for our ultrasound next week. What's your guess? Boy? Girl? Take the poll on the right! :)

Dallin wanted to show off his belly too... :)

... AAANNNNDD Jeff... :)

Swiss Days and some Romance...

This past weekend, we all went down to St. George for the weekend. We haven't gone in quite a while so it was so nice to get away!
On Friday night, my mom watched Dallin for us while we went on a much needed date. I received a gift certificate for Cafe Rio (which I haven't been to in SOO long- I was really missing out), so Jeff and I ate there. I can't tell you how good it tasted to us! Haha! I'm starting to crave it again just typing about it. After that we went to the temple. It was so nice not to feel rushed. We haven't done a session in quite a while, so it was nice to do that. And I felt the baby while I was inside! I also had a gift certificate from Hailey's "favorite things" package to the Golden Spoon (Sorry Hailey- they didn't have coconut that night- but I'll go back!)- so we also got Frozen Yogurt after. On the way home, the sky started to light up with the Swiss Days fireworks! Perfect Timing! So Jeff pulled over and we watched while we ate our yogurt on the hood of our car. It was a perfect ending to the evening. Just nice and relaxing. I finally remembered to take some pictures while we were watching fireworks, but this is all I have:

Then on Saturday was Swiss Days. I don't know why- But I will always love coming back home to go to this! Something about it just makes me so happy! We met my Great Grandma down at the park (Along with my Mom and Darrell) to eat a yummy breakfast, and then we watched my brother in the parade. He's such a stud! :) Dallin wanted to lay down on the street to watch the parade... he's such a goof. We had a fun time watching everybody. Then Jeff and I walked around the booths and luckily they had a snow cone booth. I don't think we would have survived if they didn't! We walked around for quite a while with everyone happily enjoying their snow cones and then went back to my mom's house. Later that day we went shopping and went back over to my grandma's house for Pizza with my sister and Garrett, and my aunt Kate, uncle Clint, and their kiddos. Again- another great day!
